Social Work

Social work studies is a comprehensive education addressing social issues, working with deprived communities and promoting social justice. Social work studies deal with various modules covering human behaviour, research method and social theory, which enables international students in gaining skills in working with individuals, families and as a whole community.

The course provides opportunities for internships and field placements, helping international students in gaining practical experience.

Diploma

* Entry Requirements-study equivalent to year 12, IELTS 6.5 (with no band less than 6.0) or equivalent

Bachelor’s of Social Work

*Course Duration- 4 years
*Course Fee- AUD 25,000 to 35,000 PY Approximately
* Entry Requirements-study equivalent to year 12, work experience and IELTS 7.0 (with no band less than 7.0) or equivalent

Master’s of Social Work

*Course Duration- 2 years
*Course Fee- AUD 35,000 to AUD 50,000 Approximately
* Entry Requirements- A recognised bachelor’s degree in social science, psychology, public health, or other degree with at least 1 year of social science contents IELTS 7.0 (with no band less than 7.0) or equivalent

Graduates in Social work can work in various roles including community work, research, planning and working with individuals, families and groups mainly in advocacy, consultation and refugee assistance. The salary ranges from AUD 80,000 to 1,18,000 annually, depending up on experience, educational background and location of work.
